Is this just a voice recorder?
No. A recorder gives you back audio you still have to organize yourself. ThoughtDump does the organizing — it decides what kind of thing you said and where it belongs, and asks you when it genuinely isn’t sure.
Do I need an App Store download?
No. Open ThoughtDump in your browser or add it to your home screen. Read more in Help.
Who can see my thoughts?
Content is private by default; systems and providers process it to operate ThoughtDump. You control optional sharing and exports. Read more in Help.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. New accounts receive seven days of full access from account creation, with no credit card or daily Dump quota. Read more in Help.
What happens when my trial ends?
Existing content remains readable, manually editable and organizable, and exportable. New recording/processing, Hands-Free, AI voice correction, and generated speech require access. Normal seven-day audio cleanup continues. Read more in Help.
What happens if I cancel?
Use Settings → Billing → Manage billing. Cancellation stops renewal and preserves paid access through period end. Existing content remains readable, manually editable and organizable, and exportable. New recording/processing, Hands-Free, AI voice correction, and generated speech require access. Read more in Help.
Can I get a refund?
Payments are generally non-refundable once processed, with no prorated refund for unused time. Email Support for billing errors; verified errors are corrected and legally required refunds honored. Read more in Help.
How is deleting my account different from canceling?
Canceling preserves your account and retained text; account deletion is a separate intentional request handled by support. Normal audio retention still applies. Read more in Help.
Does ThoughtDump sync my Google or Microsoft calendar?
Google and Microsoft calendar connection flows are implemented, but Production configuration remains externally blocked. Live connections have not been verified. Connection-free calendar exports are a separate option. Read more in Help.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Dump Review provides clipboard/plain text; Project detail provides Copy Markdown and Markdown/JSON/ICS; Calendar provides single-Event Google/Outlook handoffs and ICS for multiple Events. Exports remain available after access ends. Handoffs are not sync. Read more in Help.
Is there a hands-free, talk-to-it mode?
Yes. Speak and make follow-ups while the app is open and active, with text responses and optional spoken replies. Access is required. Read more in Help.
Can I share my Calendar with family?
Optional Family Sharing exposes selected Event title/time only, not bodies, transcripts, private Events, Projects, or connected calendars. It is not collaborative editing or a family subscription. Read more in Help.
I invited someone to my Family but they can’t find the invitation — what do I do?
Sign in with the exact invited email and check Settings → Family. An invitation email is attempted, but acceptance in the app does not depend on it arriving. Read more in Help.
How long do you keep my audio recordings?
Original recordings become eligible for scheduled cleanup after seven days. Transcripts and organized Items are retained separately. Read more in Help.
How do I delete my account?
Settings opens an email request; support handles confirmation and deletion. Read more in Help.
