Privacy

How ThoughtDump handles your data.

This policy explains how ThoughtDump, a product of GS Optimal Solutions, collects, uses, shares, and retains information when you use the service.

Last updated: September 8, 2026

01

Your content and control

You own the thoughts and content you put into ThoughtDump. Your content is private by default. We do not sell your data, operate an advertising business, or provide an operator mode for browsing your thoughts.

02

Information we collect

We process account and sign-in information, voice recordings, transcripts, organized Items, Projects, Calendar Events, preferences, and support messages. We also collect operational information about usage and reliability, without including thought content in product analytics.

03

How information is used

We use this information to operate and secure your account, capture and organize thoughts, store and display your information, provide requested features, and respond to support requests. Our systems and service providers must process audio and text to transcribe and organize it.

04

Service providers

Hosting, file storage, database, AI processing, and email providers process information needed to run ThoughtDump. Email features such as a Daily Brief or Event reminder require processing the content included in that message. Stripe processes payment information when you subscribe; this public website does not collect card details.

05

AI and voice processing

Audio and text are processed by transcription and AI services to provide the features you use. Spoken replies also use speech processing. ThoughtDump does not use customer thoughts to train its own models. Hands-Free requires the app to be open and active; it is not a background or locked-phone listening service.

06

Optional sharing and calendar connections

Family Sharing exposes only selected Event titles and timing to your household. It does not share recordings, transcripts, Projects, Tasks, Notes, or Ideas. Google and Microsoft calendar connection flows are implemented, but Production configuration remains externally blocked. Live connections have not been verified. Connection-free calendar exports are a separate option. Connecting allows the selected calendar information to be exchanged with that provider; disconnecting removes ThoughtDump’s continuing access. A one-time Event export is a separate action you choose.

07

Operational analytics

Operator analytics show aggregate use, reliability, access, and recorded cost information. They do not display your recordings, transcripts, Item bodies, private Project names, email addresses, or raw account identifiers. Some measurements may be unavailable.

08

Cookies and browser storage

The application uses cookies for sign-in and stores preferences needed for its features. Creator and campaign links can carry attribution fields; the application captures approved fields to associate a new account with its source. Attribution does not grant access. This public site has no advertising trackers or analytics backend.

09

Audio retention

Original recordings become eligible for automatic cleanup after seven days. Cleanup runs on a schedule. Transcripts and organized information are stored separately and can remain after source audio is removed. Replay important audio before that retention window ends; retained-text review and editing continue afterward.

10

Existing information after access ends

Trial expiry or subscription cancellation does not automatically delete your account or existing thoughts. Existing content remains readable, manually editable and organizable, and exportable. New recording/processing, Hands-Free, AI voice correction, and generated speech require access. ThoughtDump has no automatic inactive-account cleanup policy currently; a future policy will provide advance notice and an opportunity to export.

11

Account deletion requests

Request account deletion from Settings or contact support@thoughtdump.io. The Settings action opens an email request; deletion is handled by support. It is separate from cancellation or trial expiry. Export anything you want to keep before requesting deletion. Sending a request does not immediately erase your account; support will help confirm and process it.

12

Questions and requests

Contact support@thoughtdump.io for privacy questions, corrections, exports, or deletion assistance. Avoid including sensitive thought content in a support message unless it is needed to address your request. Material policy changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
