Microphone not working on iPhone or Safari

ThoughtDump needs microphone permission to record a Dump. The first time you record, Safari should ask whether app.thoughtdump.io can access your microphone.

When the permission popup appears: tap Allow.

If you previously denied access, or the popup doesn't appear:

1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
2. Open Safari.
3. Scroll to Settings for Websites.
4. Tap Microphone.
5. Select Allow.
6. Return to ThoughtDump.
7. Refresh or reopen ThoughtDump and try recording again.

If Safari is instead set to Ask, the permission prompt may appear again the next time you try to record — choose Allow when it does. If it's set to Deny, Safari won't prompt at all until you change it to Allow (or Ask) using the steps above.

Recording only works once your browser and iPhone have granted microphone access — ThoughtDump can't override that permission or turn it on for you from inside the app. Granting microphone access lets ThoughtDump record a Dump while you're using it; it doesn't let ThoughtDump listen in the background or at any other time.

Menu labels and locations vary by device and browser version. Start with the site-specific permission controls for app.thoughtdump.io, if available, before changing global Safari settings. The steps above describe one possible Settings path. Check operating-system microphone restrictions too.
