Deleting a Task, Note, Idea, or Event

You can delete an individual Task, Note, Idea, or Event from its screen; ThoughtDump asks you to confirm before removing it. Deleting an item also cancels any reminder scheduled for it, so you won't get a notification for something you've already removed.

If the Event had been shared with your household, deleting it removes it from their shared view too. If published through a connected calendar, ThoughtDump also requests removal of the linked copy it created. A connection problem can delay that removal. One-time exported copies are separate and are not removed by this action. In Hands-Free Mode, ThoughtDump asks you to say a clear confirmation before deleting anything — it won't delete just because you mentioned an item in passing.

Check that the item has disappeared after confirming deletion. If the app loses its connection or reports a problem, reopen the relevant screen to check the saved result before trying again.

Delete a whole Dump

Whole-Dump deletion has a separate confirmation. It removes that Dump’s transcript, History entry, derived Items, and available stored audio. Other Dumps and Project folders remain. Linked published Events may require an external removal request; connection errors can delay that removal. Independent one-time exported copies remain separate.
